AUTISM SERVICES

Diagnosis. Including genetic, neurological and laboratory evaluations as necessary.

The P.L.A.Y. (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters) Project, a nationally recognized program based on the DIR theory of Stanley Greenspan MD that uses home consultants supervised by Dr. Solomon to teach parents play-based, intensive intervention techniques that are very effective in helping young children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) gain language and social skills.

Referral. Children with ASD often require language, occupational, biological and behavioral services. The Center collaborates with a broad array of statewide and local community programs.

Information. At the end of each visit families are provided with web-based, written and audiotape information on the most up to date approaches to ASD.

DVD. The PLAY Project™ DVD provides parents and professionals with a 'starter' kit for intervention. The DVD provides a lecture and workshop format with over 30 video clips. Ordering information can be found at www.playproject.org.
